Guitar is a great instrument for people who don’t like to limit themselves to one musical genre.

You can have a lot of fun just playing simple riffs or strumming a few chords if that is what you want.

But if you want to take up lessons to study guitar more seriously it will be a source of inspiration for you for many years.

There are no limits to how far you can go, which is something that couldn’t be said about ukulele, for example.

Not to mention you can join a band and create your own music!

3. Great sense of achievement.

Guitar is not a very easy instrument for beginners.

Being able to play a few chords confidently takes a lot of practise and, therefore should give you a lot of satisfaction.

Progress doesn’t come easy but the reward is worth the effort.

It is worth mentioning that the role of a teacher is to ensure the basic technique is mastered at the very early stages of learning so that you can move up the levels with increasing easiness.

4. Learning to play the guitar improves your multitasking

While you play the guitar you read music, create complex chord shapes or finding notes on a fingerboard, keep time, making sure both hands are perfectly synchronised, making sure you’re getting a clear sound, listen to a backing track or a teacher playing accompanying you.
